We want to be able to accept contributions and work as a community.

I believe a structure that would serve us well is like Linux:

  • DCO signoffs on all commits to certify origin
  • Automatic conformance tests to eliminate any toil

Curl and Talos are other nice examples where merges are well-structured and intentionally cared for.

Do nots

  • Build entirely on GitHub. We should treat GitHub like any other forge, and not make it central to the PatOS community.
